Storm 87, Dream 84: First let me say congrats to Seattle on winning their second championship. Also congrats to Atlanta for a great run this season (y’all represented the A well). I actually was at the game and I have to say the atmosphere was awesome. Dream fans were hype, and Storm fans were in the building (almost a whole section full). The Storm have swept each of their playoff series and end the season still undefeated at home. Swin Cash was the leading scorer for Seattle with 18 points and six rebounds, Lauren Jackson (nine rebounds) and Camille Little each had 15 points, Sue Bird had 14 points, and Tanisha Wright 13 points. Storm shot 44.6 percent from the field and 31.8 percent (7-22) from three-point range. The Dream had one more chance to get this game tied with six seconds left, but the shot fell short. Angel McCoughtry led all scorers with 35 points, Izi Castro Marques had 21 points, Coco Miller had 10 points, and Erika DeSouza 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Countdown till next season, and once again congrats to the Storm.
